Welcome

Technology, policy, and education have to come together for sustained and continued growth and success of any country and its citizens. In India, premier educational institutions such as the IITs and their associated ecosystem have a unique stature and opportunity for meaningfully impacting all three of these pillars of growth.

This one-day workshop aims to bring together experts from industry, institutions, and agencies for talks, discussions, and interactions on various instances where premier educational institutions have led interventions in technology, policy, and educational outreach.

As part of the conference, we will recall and learn from the contributions of Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Professor, Electrical Engineering and Former Director, IIT Madras, who is superannuating in April 2024, in all three of these areas.

Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi

Bhaskar Ramamurthi (IEEE fellow) received the B.Tech. degree in electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, India, in 1980, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA.
