What is this program all about?

This is an exclusive initiative by IIT Madras aimed at providing Hands-On Experience of Career Choices for Class XI and XII students.

Who can become partner with IIT Madras CODE School Connect Program?

Any school with Classes 11 and 12 students can partner with IIT Madras School Connect Program.

How many days will it take for a school to become a partner?

Typically, it will take 2 to 3 working days.

Is there a fee to become a school partner?

No. There is no fee for the school to partner with us. But there will be a nominal course fee for the students.

Why have we not received the partnership letter yet?

There are three possible reasons why you did not receive the partnership letter:

1. Your school submitted the letter in an incorrect format for the partnership form. The application will be put on hold until you provide the correct letterhead format, which is available here.

2. Your school may not be offering classes 11 and 12, or yours is a different type of institute. We are currently partnering only with schools that offer classes 11 and 12.

3. The school may have already partnered with us, and the new SPOC or principal is unaware of this. As a result, they may have re-registered for the partnership, which we cannot accept.

Why am I not able to re-submit my Partnership Request Form as my previously submitted response has been rejected?

You can submit the form only once. Please try submitting again using a different email address. The email you originally used to submit the form cannot be used again, as we have restricted the form to allow only one response per email ID. Please use another email ID to complete your submission.

Can we use IITM logo?

No, you may not. Please send us an email. We shall share the CODE logo along with a write-up which can be used with our permission.

How will the classes be offered?

- Recorded lecture videos will be released every Monday; the content will be for a duration of 1 hour, which students can watch any time throughout the week.

- There will be Live interactive sessions on Saturdays.

- 8 weeks of this schedule will be administered.

How can students ask their doubts?

A Discussion Forum will be enabled for students; they can post their subject related doubts; course insructors will guide them. There will also be LIVE INTERACTIVE SESSIONS on Saturday evenings for students to attend & get their doubts clarified

Is this fee refundable?

No

How do we register & make the fee payment?

Payment can be done by the student directly OR by the school; Once the school partners with us, they can guide the students further.

How many courses can student apply to in each course run?

Students can apply to only 1 course per course run.

Can students from other schools be added through our school?

No, its best that students register through their own school. The school has to partner with us first.

What does SPOC stand for? Who can be a SPOC for the school?

SPOC means Single Point of Contact. The school can nominate a senior teacher to be the SPOC.

If the School SPOC changes, what are the next steps?

The existing school SPOC can inform us via email. We shall guide regarding adding the new SPOC.

Is it alright if the teachers share our SC email ID with students?

No. Kindly DO NOT share the SC email ID and Password with the students; this is for SPOC's use only.

Can interested former students of the school register for this?

No, this program is for the students who are currently in Classes XI and XII in your school.

How many students can join? Is there any limitation?

No limitations. All interested students can join.

Can teachers participate in these courses?

No. These inroductory courses are for Class XI & XII students.
